For Rutgers & Posch law firm in Amsterdam, Evelyne Merkx designed a linen wall covering mounted on sound-absorbing molton. Across the linen, exactly 60 centimetres apart, small crosses were embroidered in alternating colours. Given the considerable size of the pieces of fabric, it was a challenge to embroider each cross in precisely the right position.
