The knitting complexity of Simone van Eerdenburg’s ‘hole scarf’ is reflected in the design’s long development time. But the effect is optimal. The elastane in the yarn enhances the texture and gives the back of the knit a felted look. A version of this design – a plaid – is included in the TextielMuseum’s collection and was featured in the 2004 exhibition ‘Made in Tilburg’.
