This series of samples explores the effects of different types of jacquards. What happens to a knit’s appearance if the motif stays the same but the jacquard technique changes? This sample is knitted in twill jacquard. The yarns are knitted on both the front and back bed of the machine. The two layers are completely joined, resulting in a thicker fabric. In twill jacquard, all the colours that are not visible from the front are distributed as evenly as possible on the back of the knit.
