For Wardrobe Plaid, artist Annesas Appel took garment seams as her starting point. The seams are drawn from the front, left, right and back of the garment respectively. By realigning the seams horizontally and vertically in a straight line, a diamond shape is created. By connecting these to one another and repeating the process, a checked pattern emerges. Each garment has its own pattern, based on its seams.
