For the 2016 exhibition ‘Pracht und Prinzip’ in the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, designer Bas van Beek combined the design principles of the Bauhaus (1919-1932) and the Wiener Werkstätte (1903-1932) with works from the museum’s collection. Especially for the exhibition, Van Beek asked the TextielLab to reproduce a design by textile designer Gunta Stölzl (1897-1983). It was the first time that this Bauhaus design from 1927 was executed in a jacquard woven fabric.
