Desiree van der Gracht’s research into the ways in which a house can have a calming effect on its inhabitants resulted in the design of 'The Future Home – A Domain of the Senses', a breathable textile that can be used for various interior products. An airbag that mimics a breathing pattern, ambient lighting and a control device are all integrated in mohair and wool. The silent movement and tactile surface, which responds to touch with a pleasant glow, have a calming effect and offer the chance to isolate oneself from the hectic life outside the door.
