‘Rebeltie, the necktie revolution' is both an ode to and a departure from the traditional tie. Inspired by nature, animals and everyday objects such as wine bottles and propellor blades, Jean-Paul van de Wiel designed a series of ties in unusual shapes. After numerous experiments on the laser and embroidery machines, he turned to the knitting machine to make the desired shapes from various yarns, ranging from wool and silk to organic cotton.
