Marylène Madou's aim at the start of this project was to convert digital prints and drawings into innovative knits, with the process as a guideline and an interior object as the result. Converting a vibrant and detailed print into a less obvious technique like circular knitting made it an instructive process for the Belgian textile designer. By greatly simplifying the drawing, using padding to add texture and finally steaming the knit, Madou created a work in which the various thicknesses and stitches became the central focus.
