As part of the redesign of the Ridderzaal (‘Hall of Knights’) in the Binnenhof (‘Inner Court’) in The Hague, where the monarch delivers the annual Prinsjesdag speech, Marya Gasille and Liesbeth Stinissen designed 19 woven coats of arm in collaboration with graphic designer Hans Bockting. Every coat of arms represents a Dutch province or territory. The background of each coat of arms is composed of a document that marks a significant moment in the history of that province or territory. The colour palette and design are in keeping with the mediaeval character of the hall.
