Creator

Nathalie van der Massen

Van der Massen (1988) is an Antwerp-based freelance textile and graphic designer. After finishing her master’s degree in graphic design at Sint Lucas Antwerp, she went on to study textile design at LUCA Gent, where she was selected for a residency at the TextielMuseum. Her work is characterised by an interest in and sensitivity for (natural) materials, surface and technicality. She explores (industrial) production methods and textile’s potential as an autonomous, spatial and acoustic element in interior or living environments.
