In order to continuously develop the skills and knowledge, the weaving developers work on internal projects where they test and research new yarns or ways of working. This project consisted of discovering the possibilities of new recycled yarns and what it means to create a product from fully recycled materials. Craftsmanship and designing with sustainability and environmentalism in mind are priorities of an increasing number of designers as well as the Textile Lab. Our yarn stock offers many possibilities, among them are our recycled yarns. During this project, the weaving developers explored the qualities of recycled yarns, their look and feel and their properties when woven.
