This sample was made on the circular knitting machine using the 'flower jacquard' technique. The technique does not actually suit this type of machine because only one needle bed can be used. Where the red yarn is used, the transparent monofilament cannot be visible. The same applies the other way around: where the monofilament is used, the red yarn is looped around the back, out of sight. Neither can the stitches be too long because they have to be fastened in place, appearing as red dots in the fabric.
