To celebrate Tilburg’s rich history as a centre for textiles, boutique hotel Auberge du Bonheur wanted a series of locally produced textile artworks with a link to the city for their 36 newly refurbished suites. The map of Tilburg inspired interior designer Laura van der Gun and her team to base each piece on a different section of the map. Multiple bindings and the interplay of matt and shiny yarns create dynamic textures and effects. No two works are the same and each is tailored to the colour scheme of the individual rooms.
