2015 tea towel
Materials cotton

The brilliant colours of a soap bubble are created by light reflected from both sides of the thin film. Nienke Sybrandy added ink to her soap mixture, then blew bubbles onto a surface. The resulting pattern inspired the design of this series. In the TextielLab, Sybrandy translated the pattern into woven tea towels.
