This cardigan was knitted in one piece; nothing was cut or stitched together. The machine started at the end of the sleeves and slowly worked towards the neck. To compensate for the difference in length between the sleeves and body, an extra section was added and attached by a separating or ‘pull’ thread. By pulling out the thread afterwards, this section, which is unnecessary to the final product, was removed.
