Made on the TextielLab’s computer-controlled knitting machines, Scholten & Baijings’ ‘Grid Knit’ cushions are composed of multiple colours and details, such as the striking fluorescent accents. The well-known design duo’s minimalist, bright signature gives the products a soft glow.
The grids are composed of several colours knitted on a soft background. This layering is characteristic of Scholten & Baijings’ work. As this was the designers’ first foray into knitting, they spent some time finding the right look and feel. Important in this process was the size of the stitch, colour combinations and the thinking that goes with designing a knit. With the help of the technical specialists in the lab, this resulted in the ‘Grid Knit’ series, a must-have for any modern interior.
