2020 installation
Materials viscose merinowool

For her graduation project at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Lotte Ooms developed an installation consisting of three sculptures and various material samples. The installation tells a tale of hunger, compromise and acceptance. It is a fictional scenario in which a crucial collaboration is established between humans and typically unwanted animal species, such as mice, moths and woodworms. Based on extensive material research, Ooms explored ways of making eaten and degraded structures attractive and appealing to the human eye.
